Windhoek, in the Central Region of Namibia is the capital city. Windhoek international airport is a convenient point to enter and depart the country and is a good base for local excursions. The Central Region /Sub-Kalahari region has an amazing variety of bird and animal life. In the West is the Namib Desert and the Kalahari Desert lies to the East.

The city of Windhoek is surrounded by the majestic Eros Mountains and the rolling Khomas Hochland hills . The area also is rich with National parks, small towns, mission stations and cattle ranches that all have their own unique chanracter.
How to get here:
Trophies Africa is located in Gobabis, 2 hrs by car from Windhoek International Airport, the main international port of entry into our area. We will be happy to pick you up and return you to the airport at the conclusion of your hunt or viewing safari.
Walvis Bay airport is a regional airport linked internally by both scheduled and charter flights. There is a good system of major highways in Namibia and an extensive network of well maintained gravel roads. Self-drive tours are popular, and many 4x4 trails are utilized by visitors from neighboring countries and overseas visitors who often hire fully equipped vehicles. The distances involved limit touring of this kind to those with plenty of time to drive the distances required.
