1) Is Namibia a safe destination?

Please rest assured that the areas you'll be visiting on your hunting and touring safari are free of civil conflict and safe in every normal sense of the word.

2) My companion doesn't hunt; are there other things to do?

There are many alternative activities which include accompanying the hunters, observing the wildlife and taking pictures. Relax at camp in a hammock and read or swim, go shopping in nearby Gobabis or do some sightseeing.

3) What big game animals can we hunt?

Some of the most commonly sought after trophies that we specialize in are:

4. Can I bring my rifles to Africa?

Yes. This can be arranged with any airline. Contact us for details. Bring two rifles if you ca: one small caliber, for example .223, .22-250, .243 or .270, and one larger caliber such as a .30-06, 7mm, .300 mag or .375 H&H. (Please see Hunter's Info)

5. Are hunting permits required?

You will only need a permit if you wish to hunt an animal listed under CITES. (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) Contact us and we will let you know if this applies to your desired trophy. You will need to apply for an import permit with your local authority for importing your trophy before your safari starts. We will apply for the export permits from Namibia on your behalf.

6. Are bugs a problem?

Bugs are not a problem, but it is advisable to bring along bug spray or insect repellent.

7. What is the food like?

If our clients wish, we are happy to cook the game they bag. We also cook a variety of beef, pork, lamb, chicken as well as pasta, soups, traditional African vegetable dishes and salads. (See our accommodations page for more info)

8. How much should I tip?

A 10% gratuity is the norm at most establishments.

9. What currency is used?

One Namib Dollar (N$)= 100 cents (c)
Currency exchange rates are published daily in the newspapers and are available at banks.

10. What electricity voltage do you use in Namibia?

Power (220/240 volt 50 cycle with three point plugs) is available in all of our cabins. Please bring your cell phone charger and adapter with you.
